Peter Doherty
It has been widely reported in the world press that the singer, Peter Doherty, has been re-arrested for being in possession of the opiate heroin. Sky News ran a headline which said: Doherty Spared Jail – Then Rearrested In Court.

According to Reuters, the 30-year-old Babyshambles British singer was let off with a R25 000 fine and an 18-month driving ban after admitting careless and drink-driving in the city. But moments later, officers at the court arrested him on suspicion of possessing an unnamed “controlled drug”.

A search of Doherty’s country home in Durley, near Marlborough, Wiltshire, uncovered a further 15 wraps worth around R500. The court heard the ex-Libertine had 21 previous drug offences and six previous motoring offences. Doherty also made world-headlines because of his tempestuous relationship with the model, Kate Moss.

From Los Angeles, it is reported that Aerosmith singer, Steven Tyler, has entered rehab for the second time in as many years, after his estranged band mates went public with their concerns about his health.

And also from LA, it has been confirmed that a day after Brittany Murphy’s (33) untimely death, investigators found a huge amount of powerful prescription drugs in the actress’ bedroom, according to the Los Angeles County Coroner’s office.

Private Suites at Harmony
No matter what your status or station in life is, addiction is the great leveller. But at Harmony Clinic we understand that certain people, such as the above-mentioned famous celebrities, might need some privacy (or anybody else, for that matter).

Harmony is the only facility in the country that has four exclusive self-contained suites for those who need discreet and more private accommodation during their treatment process.

Each unit, which has been tastefully furnished by a top interior design company, comprises of a master bedroom, en-suite bathroom, and private lounge with satellite TV.

In addition, we also offer Family Suites
For clients who are not from Cape Town, and who would like their family members to join our family programme, or who are perhaps flying into Cape Town for family con-joints, there is the option of utilising our on-site family accommodation.

Each suite consists of a master and a single bedroom, private bathroom and lounge area. The benefits of this are that the family can stay together as a unit during this time, and being on the facility can better utilise their time and take part more fully in the programme.

All meals are provided, and family members can also take in the sites and sounds of Hout Bay’s famous beauty and attractions, such as the unique sanctuary, The World of Birds.

Transport into central Cape Town is also available. Furthermore, these suites are well-priced and will cost exactly the same as treatment in other standard treatment facilities in South Africa, where no private VIP accommodation is on offer.
